A new law sponsored by Senator Dawn Gile and Delegate Adrian Boafo was signed by Governor Wes Moore which prohibits discrimination in employment and housing decisions based on military status. These protections include members of the active, reserve and guard component and their spouses. The law This law complements Governor Moore's preferential hiring effort for military spouses and makes it illegal for employers to decide not to hire someone because of their military affiliation.
