Rep. Terry Roy authored groundbreaking legislation relative to educational and employment opportunities and protections for military families and their dependents. This omnibus bill required licensing boards to issue a license within 30 days; allows for advance enrollment with military orders; provides open enrollment flexibility with placement stability for military-connected students; guarantees in-state tuition continuity; establishes military parent student support mechanisms in schools; and creates state employment protections for members of the National Guard.
