Child Abuse and Neglect Identification and Reporting
The memoranda of understanding between NAVSTA Newport and the Rode Island Department of Children, Youth & Families applies to all active-duty service members the state. DCYF determines the military affiliation, if any, of a victim or suspect and will notify the family advocacy program of all allegations of child abuse and neglect involving a military service member or family members. The agreement is reviewed and renewed annually.
