Authorizing remote appearances at hearings for protection orders.: SF0167

Wyoming authorizes the petitioner or another party to a proceeding for a domestic violence protection order to request to appear at a hearing on the protection-order petition by remote means. The act provides that the court, in its discretion, may grant the petition for the petitioner or other party to appear at the hearing remotely, provided that the courtroom is equipped with the appropriate technology to ensure that the party appearing remotely can fully participate in the hearing.
