Military Spouse Occupational Licensure Access Final Legislation
Public Act 21-152 requires all Connecticut occupational and professional licensing boards to issue professional licenses to the spouse of an active duty service members if they hold a valid license, permit, certification or registration in good standing in at least one other jurisdiction and have practiced under such license for at least four years, along with satisfying any required background check. The act also expands licensure access by requiring a feasibility study and annual report to the legislature on joining interstate licensing compacts.
