    Ms. Smith became a program analyst for the Defense-State Liaison Office in 2023. Prior to joining DSLO, she worked in federal and state policy roles across the country in the nonprofit and government sectors. In 2024, she served on a detail assignment as senior advisor to Joining Forces, a White House initiative supporting military and veteran families, caregivers and survivors. Ms. Smith holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and is an active-duty Air Force spouse.
