Prior to joining DSLO, she worked in federal and state policy roles across the country in the nonprofit and government sectors. In 2024, she served on a detail assignment as senior advisor to Joining Forces, a White House initiative supporting military and veteran families, caregivers and survivors. Ms. Smith holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and is an active-duty Air Force spouse.
