The Physical Therapy Compact offers physical therapists and physical therapy assistants a way to practice across the U.S. The Compact is an agreement between States. The practice of physical therapy occurs in the state where the patient/client is located at the time of the patient/client encounter.

For good cause in compelling circumstances and with appropriate safeguards, the court may permit testimony in open court by contemporaneous transmission from a different location.
