Public Accomodations Final Legislation
This policy makes military and veteran status a protected class in Nebraska and provides comprehensive protections against discrimination for military members and their dependents. Specifically, Sec. 91 of the act states (13) Military or veteran status means a person: (a) Is serving active duty service in the armed forces of the United States, including any reserve component or the National Guard; (b) Has served on such active duty and was discharged or otherwise separated with a characterization of honorable or general (under honorable conditions); or (c) Is a dependent, as defined in 50 U.S.C. 3911, of a person described in subdivision (13)(a) or (b) of this section.
